How can I best preserve food in an opened packaging?
When the packaging is opened, oxygen will mix with the food, resulting in a reduction of taste and scent. The speed with which the taste and scent reduce is dependent on the preservation circumstances. Always keep an opened packaging in a cool, dark and dry place.
To keep the food in the packaging fresh as long as possible, TROVET advises to take out portions for a few days and keep this in a container. The packaging will only be opened once or twice a week, which minimises the amount of oxygen that can enter the packaging.
It is not possible to give an exact period for how long the food can be preserved after opening the packaging. TROVET advises you to empty one bag in 1.5 to 2 months. TROVET does not guarantee a long preservation time after opening and there is the possibility of spoiling.
